Oliver Sutton was laid to rest today. One of the last true American heroes, Sutton came to San Francisco in 1930, a boy of 15 with only a third grade education and seven dollars in his pocket.

A self-made millionaire before he was 21, Oliver Sutton wasn't content to stop there. Branching out from real estate to oil, shipping, aviation, and the world of international banking, by the time of his death four days ago, Mr. Sutton's net worth was estimated to be in the neighborhood of a billion dollars.

Mr. Sutton's second and much younger wife, Ruby, made a brief appearance at the funeral services this afternoon but collapsed with grief and had to be taken back to the Sutton Mansion, where she was now resting under heavy ********.

We can see the bedroom window at the grief, though. Surely one of the wealthiest women in the world, a spokesman for Mrs. Sutton says that she has taken her husband's death quite hard and that it will probably be several days before she'll be able to leave her bed.
